Journaling: It's recommended to journal about your experience with the practices, and there's a section in the e-book that covers this. However, you will need a separate journal. (I intentionally didn't leave pages for journaling so you have more freedom and autonomy with this.)

Give It Time: The practices take time to get past the mind's defenses. You will be reminded to give yourself grace as you work through any resistance.

Like many people, I was raised believing that Love was found in others. That I had to do something to earn it, and that it would be taken away if I wasn't good enough. Because, let's face it, it was taken away.

I was raised by humans who only knew dysfunction and trauma bonding, so Love was very conditional. Our society perpetuates conditional Love by making us think we have to be a certain way or do certain things to be loved. THAT IS FAR FROM THE TRUTH! And that's not LOVE at all.

LOVE isn't something you receive from external sources. I believe LOVE is our natural way of BEING.

The LOVE that lives inside of us is UNCONDITIONAL.

It's a Love that is hard to imagine from a human standpoint.

It's a Love that many will go their entire lives never experiencing.

It's a Love that will change your life, if you let it.

It has changed mine!

Self-sabotage To Watch For

Most of the practices are simple, and some ask you to dig deeper. It's normal for resistance to pop up in a space like this because your mind wants to protect you.

It might say things like...

  • This practice is stupid.

  • I don't believe what I'm saying or doing.

  • I feel silly doing this! How is this helping me?

  • I've done something like this before and it didn't work.

This is all a normal part of the defense mechanisms that you are here to discover and rewrite.

The mind will do whatever it can to keep you stuck and keep you from experiencing the true, unconditional LOVE that's within you. (It might even try to sabotage you before you start by saying, "You don't need this e-book!")

It's not doing anything "wrong." It's doing exactly what it was designed to do, which is keep you safe and keep you alive. Somewhere along the way, you decided that love was painful (whether consciously or unconsciously). And your mind said, "Got it boss! I'll protect you from that pain."

All the while, you're actually miserable and in even more pain because you've cut yourself off from LOVE!
